Have Dog; Will Travel
Vince is very much my sidekick and when it comes to traveling, I don’t want to leave him behind. To celebrate my birthday, I planned a trip to NYC to visit my best friend from college and decide to take Vince to a dog-friendly hotel!
I picked Staypineapple An Artful Midtown Hotel because I’ve heard great things about being a very dog-friendly hotel. Staypineapple did not disappoint!
The hotel decor highlights the pineapple theme without being over the top and Vince loved exploring the room, looking at the window, and the bed.
The bed is awesome, it’s firm but not hard, and they give you two comforters so if you’re sharing the bed, no fighting for coverage. Also, they provide cozy robes.
Staypineapple provided a dog bed, bowls, poop bags and treats – everything you need to settle in. Plus, when my friend and I went to dinner and a show (we saw Jagged Little Pill and I highly recommend it), I could leave Vince in the room with a sign not to disturb him. Some hotels want you to have your pet with you all the time and often that’s not possible.
Outside, there is a patch of artificial turf for dogs to take care of business.
Inside, we found staff who loved seeing Vince come through the lobby while I snagged a pastry from their morning bites and returned to our room for a little coffee and cuddling.
Staypineapple has properties in several cities, so if you’re traveling with your dog to NYC, look to Staypineapple. I’ll be honest, if there was a Staypineapple in Cincinnati, I would absolutely plan a staycation at the hotel, cuddle up with Vince, napping in between watching HGTV.
Staypineapple was the perfect host for a weekend away to celebrate my birthday, see a show, and watch my friend perform improv!
