In 2018, I shared 31 days of Halloween dog costumes on Instagram. Since then, I’ve been looking at Halloween costumes for dogs and trying to figure out what I’ll do this year. Here’s what’s caught my eye.
Illusion Costumes
I love the illusion costumes that work with the dog’s front legs, like this Sumo Wrestler from Petsmart. Plus, Petco has the Clark Kent and Batman illusion costumes.
Also at Petco, Pet Krewe illusion costumes which include the pirate and Oktoberfest guy in lederhosen which I already bought because my family likes to celebrate our German heritage.
Sesame Street
The last couple of years Disney and Star Wars costumes have been popular, so I’m excited to see Pet Krewe offering Sesame Street on their website and as well as at Petco.
In addition to Big Bird and Elmo, there is Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch, Plus dog hoodies for Bert and Ernie.
Common Themes
Michaels is probably not the first place people think to look when scouting dog costumes, but it’s where I found Vince’s Strong Man and Scuba Diver costumes.
Target had a rainbow and pineapple last year so it’s no surprise to see those Halloween dog costumes at Michaels as well as the sundae, taco, and hot dog.
Speaking of Target, they have an octopus hat that Michaels had last year. Target has a dog costume of a school bus, which works well if you’re planning on going as Mrs. Frizzle and the Magic School Bus.
Leave a comment and let me know which Halloween dog costume Vince would look best in for 2019!
If you haven’t gotten enough, take a look at Vince in ocean-themed dog costumes.
