Six months before Vince’s birthday, my nieces asked if Vince was going to have a birthday swim party and would it be a luau?
While I hadn’t given any thought to it at that moment, I knew I could create a dog party with Dollar Tree shopping!
I was banking on Dollar Tree to come through in late spring with all things summery luau and they did not disappoint!
Perfect Dog Birthday Party Supply List
The Dollar Tree has been my go-to spot for dog photo props so I knew I’d have no problem supplies to plan the perfect dog birthday party. I found banners, palm trees, leis, coconut cups, flamingos, and grass skirts to decorate his stand and create a tiki hut photo back drop.

I doubled up and used these same party supplies to decorate around the pool. It was a beautiful sunny day right up until the skies opened up and poured down on us, but the paper decorations weathered the storm.
All spring I had been looking for a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe. I didn’t want to spend much on it because I figured I’d have to paint it. By the week of the party and Vince’s birthday, I gave up finding one when a neighbor’s trash had this little convertible VW bug. Perfect!
Vince had the best birthday celebration with family and friends!
